The town is dominated from belltower from to 1280 and every 25 July, yours bell, “la Smarrita”, celebrate the glorious past of the Knights of the Tau, which used it to call all those pilgrims travelling through Via Francigena.


Hospitalers’ square (Piazza Ospitalieri), was formed when the cloister was extended in the fiftheenth century. It houses a fine hexagonal well made of stone. On the east side can see a small loggia with plain stone columns.
